Beekeeping Class

Classes will be held outside, weather permitting. 

We accept cash, check or Apple Pay.

You may pay for your class when you arrive.  We are limiting this class to 6 participants.  If you make a reservation and cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible so others may take your place. Thank you.  

So You Want To Be A Beekeeper

Beekeeping is always weather dependent.  

Limited to 6 participants. 

Class will cover 

Site selection 

Equipment options such as traditional Langstroth, horizontal Langstroth and Top Bar Hives. 

Hands on building frames and boxes. 

Plan for obtaining bees.

WE WILL NOT BE INSPECTING HIVES IN THIS CLASS.

You will not be required or need to wear a beesuit for this class.

We will be meeting outdoors on the patio or in the garden.

Cost for the class is $25.

We will be using "Backyard Beekeeper" by Kim Flottum as a resource.  You  are not requred to purchase this book, but it is a very good resource.  You may want to purchase a copy locally from Boyce Feed Store or it is available at Amazon.
