Sweet Ideas for Honey

Sounded Like a Salad Dressing to Me

I have a customer who teaches elementary school.  She is a regular customer and uses our local honey in her "Cures Whatever Ails You Elixir".  As she was telling me her recipe it sounded like a great salad dressing.  She swears that if she does not take her honey "Elixir" regularly, she seems more prone to catch colds and flu from the students at school.

Well, I sell honey, not drugs.  I can't say this will cure whatever ails you, but I can tell you it made a great salad dressing.

I make salad dressing in the bottom of the bowl and then add the salad on top of the dressing and then toss it just before serving.

Her "Cures Whatever Ails You Elixir" is as follows

2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Tablespoon Turmeric (fresh grated is best)

1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

7 Tablespoons Raw Local Honey

1 Pinch of black pepper

When I made this as a salad dressing, I only used 2 Tablespoons of honey and also grated a pod of garlic into the bowl.  I. placed everything in the bottom of the salad bowl. Just stir it with a fork or whisk then add your salad vegetables of choice and toss before serving.
